    Therapeutic Approach:
I work with my clients in the way that best suits them, most research shows that whatever the theoretical approach that is chosen by the client - it is the relationship with the counsellor or psychotherapist that matters. My general theoretical approach is based on the principles of Psychodynamic Counselling where I can help you think through how your current difficulties or stress might be based on things that have happened in the past. For more details see my page on Talking Therapy.

    My Background:
Prior to setting up a counselling and psychotherapy practice in Harpenden I was based in Hatfield at The University of Hertfordshire as a tutor for 12 years. Before this I spent over 25 years as a manager in private companies and in the public sector. I am a fully qualified and registered psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. See Qualifications for more details.
